Authorization to submit a Grant Application to the U.S. Department of Transportation under the Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Discretionary Grant Program requesting Federal funds in amount of $21,720,000 and requesting local match not to exceed $1,450,000 for the Safe Streets for Lexington project, which includes New Circle Road Multimodal Safety Improvements, Multimodal Safety Education and Outreach and a Vision Zero Coordinator. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute and submit the Grant Application, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, seeking $21,729,000.00 in Federal funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation, under the Safe Street for All (SS4A) Discretionary Grant Program, for the implementation of the Safe Streets for Lexington Project, and to provide any additional information requested in connection with this Grant Application.

                     Section 2 -That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
