Summary
Authorization to abolish two (2) classified positions of Technical Specialist (Grade 515N), and creating two (2) classified positions of Computer Analyst (Grade 520E); reclassifying the incumbents in the Division of Computer Services, effective upon passage of Council. Upon the request of the Division and in accordance with Section 21-2 (d) of the Code of Ordinances, the Division of Human Resources conducted a classification study on the requested positions of Technical Specialist held by Chris Arth and Frank Cole. The study was conducted according to standard procedures using the Job Analysis Questionnaire (JAQ) and position audit. The position was analyzed by staff using the whole job rank and factor comparison methods. As a result, a recommendation for their requested position is described in this action. To illustrate, this has a 12-month future impact of a cost of $22,161.95. Funds are budgeted. (L1115-15)(Maxwell/Valicenti)

Section 1 - That the following subsection line numbers in the classified civil service authorized strength be and hereby are amended to read as follows:
250.047 7 364 515N Technical Specialist
250.045 6 372 520E Computer Analyst
Section 2 - That the incumbent, Chris Arth, be and hereby is reclassified from Technical Specialist, Grade 515N at $22.72 hourly, to Computer Analyst, Grade 520E, at $2,163.60 biweekly.
Section 3 - That the incumbent, Frank Cole, be and hereby is reclassified from Technical Specialist, Grade 515N at $22.72 hourly, to Computer Analyst, Grade 520E, at $2,154.32 biweekly.
Section 4 - That this Ordinance shall become effective upon date of passage.
