A Resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the Urban County Government, to execute and submit a Grant Application to the Ky. Dept. of Education/Div. of School and Community Nutrition, seeking $102,000 in Federal funds for participation in the United States Dept. of Agriculture’s Child Care Food Program, for provision of breakfast, lunch, and supplements to children at the Family Care Center in FY2027, to provide any additional information requested in connection with this Grant Application, and to accept this Grant if the application is approved, the acceptance of which does not obligate the Urban County Government to the expenditure of matching funds, and authorizing the Mayor to transfer unencumbered funds within the Grant Budget; and further authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the Urban County Government, to execute the first renewal of the Catering Agreement with CY LLC d/b/a LeanFeast, for the provision of breakfast, lunch, and supplemental snacks at the Family Care Center, at a cost estimated not to exceed $205,530. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute and submit the Grant Application, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the Kentucky Department of Education, Division of School and Community Nutrition, seeking $102,000 in Federal funds for participation in the United States Department of Agriculture’s Child Care Food Program, for provision of breakfast, lunch, and supplements to children at the Family Care Center in FY2027, to provide any additional information requested in connection with this Grant Application, and to accept this Grant if the application is approved, the acceptance of which does not obligate the Urban County Government for the expenditure of matching funds.
Section 2 - That, subject to the provisions of Section 7-48 of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Code of Ordinances, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in her discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account ap-propriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant Budget previously established for this Grant.
Section 3 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is further authorized to execute the first renewal of the catering Agreement with CY LLC d/b/a LeanFeast, for the provision of breakfast, lunch, and supplemental snacks at the Family Care Center, at a cost estimated not to exceed $205,530.
Section 4 - That an amount, estimated not to exceed the sum of $205,530, be and hereby is approved for payment to CY LLC d/b/a LeanFeast, from account # 3100 - 606401 - 75102, pursuant to the terms of the Agreement.
Section 5 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
