Summary
Authorization to execute a contract between the Department of Social Services and Lamar of Lexington for billboards for the promotion of the GetHelpLex substance abuse services locator for the Substance Abuse and Violence Intervention Program. The GetHelpLex locator will aid individuals and families in search of nearby substance abuse services. This interactive locator currently includes more than 130 substance abuse programs, and this contract will promote the locator on six local area billboard panels during the months of March and April 2016. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the contract, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Lamar, for the purchase of billboard advertisement for GetHelpLex, a substance abuse services locator, for the Substance Abuse and Violence Intervention (SAVI) Program.
Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $3,625.00, be and hereby is approved for payment to Lamar, from account # 1101 - 606105 - 71299, pursuant to the terms of the contract.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
