Summary
Authorization to approve Forensic Technology, Inc. as a sole source provider to ensure continued compatibility with the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN) which supports the current operating equipment for the Division of Police. Forensic Technology, Inc. is the only vendor capable of covering NIBIN equipment and can provide remote monitoring of the system. At a cost not to exceed $41,758. Funds are Budgeted. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 – That the Division of Police is authorized to purchase support services for the National Integrated Ballistics Network from Forensic Technology, Inc., a sole source provider, and the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute any necessary Agreement with Forensic Technology, Inc., related to the procurement.
Section 2 – That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $41,758.00, be and hereby is approved for payment to Forensic Technology, Inc., from account #3140-505602-96468.
Section 3 – That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
