Summary
Authorization to abolish one (1) unclassified position of Executive Assistant to Mayor (Grade 530E); create one (1) unclassified position of Chief of Staff (Grade 537E) and reclassify the incumbent within the Mayor’s office, effective upon passage of Council. The Division of Human Resources conducted a classification study on the requested position of Executive Assistant to Mayor held by Jamie Emmons. The position was analyzed by staff using the whole job rank and factor comparison methods. The outcome is a recommended change in pay grade as described in this action. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That subsection line number 030.018 in the unclassified civil service authorized strength be and hereby is deleted.
Section 2 - That the following subsection line number in the unclassified civil service authorized strength be and hereby is created to read as follows:
030.015 1 231 537E Chief of Staff
Section 3 - That the incumbent, Jamie Emmons, be and hereby is reallocated from Grade 530E to Grade 537E, at $4,538.46 biweekly.
Section 4 - That certain of the Budgets of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government are amended and funds are appropriated pursuant to Budget Schedule No. 0065, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 5 - That this Ordinance shall become effective upon date of passage.
