A motion by Julian Beard to approve the New Business Items.  Seconded by Chuck Ellinger.  The motion passed without dissent.

A motion by Bill Farmer, Jr. to place on the docket for first reading, the 2012 Comprehensive Plan Goals and Objectives, as drafted. Seconded by Linda Gorton.  The motion passed without dissent.

A motion by Bill Farmer, Jr. to approve text changes amending section 7-2.1 (a) of the Code of Ordinances.  Seconded by Diane Lawless.  Motion passed 8-7.  Martin, Myers, Beard, Stinnett, Gorton, Henson, Blues voted NAY.
 
A motion by George Myers to initiate the application to HUD to implement Section 108 Loan Program.  Seconded by Chuck Ellinger.  The motion passed without dissent.
 
A motion by George Myers to approve the cancellation of the May 8th, 2012 Social Services and Community Development Standing Committee meeting.  Seconded by Jay McChord.  The motion passed without dissent.
 
A motion by Linda Gorton to correct the Social Services and Community Development summary on page 48, sentence 2, to read: 'CAO Moloney gave an update on how he is working to find a location for a new Senior Citizen's Center.'  Seconded by George Myers.  Motion passed without dissent.
 
A motion by Steve Kay to place on the docket for first reading, the Lextran budget as presented.  Seconded by Tom Blues.  The motion passed 10-1.  Martin voted NAY.
 
A motion by Doug Martin to table the Lextran Budget.  Seconded by George Myers.  The motion failed 2-9.  Farmer, Ford, Ellinger, McChord, Beard, Stinnett, Gorton Kay and Blues voted NAY.
 
A motion by Jay McChord to approve instructing Steve Kay, when reporting out to the full Council from the General Services Link, to report out the specific recommended subsidy number and the rationale behind the number for LFUCG's Golf Program and to provide an opportunity for Council Members to provide input individually to the link.  Seconded by George Myers.  The motion passed 11-1.  Blues voted NAY.
 
V.      Council Reports
 
A motion by Steve Kay to approve the scheduling of a Special Council Meeting on May 29th, 2012 at 3:00pm with the agenda item to be  'A Public Hearing for Mayor's Proposed Budget.'  Seconded by Julian Beard.  The motion passed without dissent.
 
A motion by Bill Farmer, Jr. to present the Fire and Emergency Medical Task Force Report at the May 8th, 2012 Work Session during the presentations.  Seconded by Steve Kay.  The motion passed without dissent.
 
VI.      Public Comment
 
A motion by Bill Farmer, Jr. to enter into Closed Session Pursuant to KRS. 61.810 (1) (f).  Seconded by Bill Farmer Jr. The motion passed without dissent.
 
A motion by Ed Lane to return from Closed Session. Seconded by Steve Kay.  The motion passed without dissent.
 
A motion by Chuck Ellinger to adjourn at 6:01pm.  Seconded by Steve Kay.  The motion passed without dissent.
