Authorization to amend the Classified Civil Service and Unclassified Civil Service authorized strength by creating, abolishing and transferring positions as they were approved in the FY 2025 Budget process within the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government to become effective retroactive July 1, 2024. Impacted positions are located in Division of Grants and Special Programs, Division of Police, Department of Environmental Quality & Public Works, Department of Information Technology, Department of Social Services, and Office of Chief Development Officer. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT.

                     Section 1 - That subSection line number 840.065 in the Classified Civil Service authorized strength be and hereby is deleted.

                     Section 2 - That the following subSection line number in the Classified Civil Service authorized strength be and hereby is amended to read as follows:

                     370.020                     2                     112                     523E                                          Administrative Officer

                     Section 3 - That the following subSection line number in the Classified Civil Service authorized strength be and hereby is created to read as follows:

                     550.011                     1                     925                     521E                                          Intelligence Specialist Supervisor

                     Section 4 - That subSection line numbers 080.020 and 610.030 in the Unclassified Civil Service authorized strength be and hereby are deleted.

                     Section 5 - That the following subSection line number in the Unclassified Civil Service authorized strength be and hereby is amended to read as follows:

                     550.004                     1                     161                     518N                                          Victim’s Advocate 

                     Section 6 - That the incumbent to the position of Community Reentry Advocate, Tara Estes, be and hereby is transferred from the Office of the Mayor, to the Office of the Chief Development Officer, at her respective current pay grade and rate of pay, to expire December 31, 2026.

                     Section 7 - That this Ordinance shall become effective July 1, 2024.
