BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute and submit a Grant Application, seeking $109,350.00 in Federal funds to the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security under the Law Enforcement Protection Program, for the Division of Police, to purchase patrol rifle kits for all sworn Officers, and authorizing the Mayor to provide any additional information requested in connection with this Grant application.

                     Section 2 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to accept this Grant, if awarded, the acceptance of which does not obligate the Urban County Government to the expenditure of funds.

                     Section 3 - That subject to the provisions of Section 7-48 of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Code of Ordinances, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in her discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account appropriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant Budget previously established for this Grant.

                     Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
