BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to accept the Grant from the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, which Grant funds are in the amount of $80,000.00 Federal funds, for the continuation of the Street Sales Drug Enforcement Project, the acceptance of which obligates the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government for the expenditure of $8,889.00 as a local match.
Section 2 - That subject to the provisions of Ordinance No. 22-79, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in her discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account appropriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant budget established herein.
Section 3 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with the Fayette County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, for a full-time prosecutor for the Street Sales Drug Enforcement Project.
Section 4 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $49,441.00 for FY 2021, be and hereby is approved for payment to the Fayette County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office from account #3140-112006-71101, pursuant to the terms of the Agreement.
Section 5 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
