BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute and submit an application to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and to provide any additional information requested in connection with this Grant Application, and to accept this Grant if awarded, which is estimated to total $95,000.00 in Federal funds, for the purchase of a gas monitor and training to improve response capabilities to hazardous materials incidents, for the Division of Fire and Emergency Services, the acceptance of which does not obligate the Urban County Government to the expenditure of funds.
Section 2 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute any necessary documents, or amendments thereto, related to this Grant award.
Section 3 - That subject to the provisions of Section 7-48 of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Code of Ordinances, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in her discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account appropriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant Budget established for this Grant.
Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
