Summary
Authorization to award $4 million of federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for a Transitional Housing Pilot Project to Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison & Nicholas Counties to provide transitional housing and supportive services directly to households experiencing homelessness, and to execute all necessary Agreements to provide this funding. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the bid of Community Action Council (“CAC”), in response to RFP No. 22-2022, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and hereby is accepted and approved as to the specifications and amounts set forth in the bid and any agreements hereby established.
Section 2 -- That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute a Subrecipient Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with CAC in order to allocate $4,000,000.00 of federal grant funds awarded pursuant to the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, to the CAC for a Transitional Housing Pilot Project, and authorizing the Mayor to execute any other needed amendments with the CAC related to the use of these funds.
Section 3 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $4,000,000.00, be and hereby is authorized for payment to CAC from account #3230-808101-71101, subject to the terms of the Agreement.
Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
