BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Section 2-87 of the Code of Ordinances of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government be and hereby amended to read as follows:
(a) The members of the MSP Advisory Board shall be nineteen (19) in number and shall be appointed by the mayor, subject to confirmation by a majority of the urban county councilmembers. Eighteen (18) members shall be voting members and one (1) shall be an ex-officio non-voting member. The nineteen (19) members shall be as follows: one (1) member from the Audubon Society; one (1) member shall be from the Lexington Lions Club, Inc.; one (1) member shall be from the Bracktown Neighborhood Association; one (1) member shall be from the Casual Riders; one (1) member shall be a citizen representing the division of parks and recreation Equestrian Program; one (1) member shall be from the Friends of the Dog Park; one (1) member shall be from the Greenways Community; one (1) member shall be from the Kentucky Border Collie Association; one (1) member shall be from the McConnell Trace Neighborhood Association; one (1) member shall be from the Lexington Youth Soccer Association; one (1) member shall be from the Masterson Station Neighborhood Association; one (1) member shall be from the Masterson Equestrian Trust; one (1) member shall be from the Fayette County Neighborhood Council; one (1) member shall be from the Meadowthorpe Neighborhood Association; one (1) member shall be from the Georgetown Road Corridor; one (1) member shall be from the international sports community; one (1) member shall be a representative from the Kentucky Radio Control Racing Club; one (1) ex-officio, non-voting member shall be from the urban county council; and one (1) member shall be the director of the division of parks and recreation or his designee.
(b) The members of the MSP Advisory Board will serve a term of four (4) years from the date of appointment, provided the terms of those originally appointed shall be staggered in the manner required by section 7.02 of the Urban County Charter.
(c) Vacancies shall be filled for an unexpired term in the manner prescribed for the original appointment. The membership of the appointed councilmembers shall be terminated upon leaving office as a councilmember.
(d) Any member may be reappointed for additional terms.
Section 2 - That this Ordinance shall become effective on the date of passage.
