Summary
Authorization to accept a donation of the Breaking the Bronze Ceiling Monument. Installation of the Breaking the Bronze Ceiling Monument is scheduled for August 6, 2020. Upon approved installation of the Monument and execution of the Transfer of Title Agreement, the title of the Monument shall transfer from Breaking the Bronze Ceiling, Inc. to Lexington Fayette-Urban County Government. As described in the Transfer of Title Agreement, Breaking the Bronze Ceiling, Inc. shall Grant, convey, and transfer all its rights and obligations under the Commission Agreement and License Agreement to Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, and Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government shall accept all such rights and obligations, including but not limited to providing insurance coverage and maintenance of the Monument.
Breaking the Bronze Ceiling, Inc. is in the process of fundraising for the remaining cost of the project plus an additional $30,000 maintenance fund. Upon completion of fundraising, Breaking the Bronze Ceiling. Inc. shall transfer the maintenance fund to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to accept donation of the Breaking the Bronze Ceiling monument and to execute all documents necessary thereto, including without limitation the Transfer of Title Agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
