This is a request to accept award of Federal Planning Funds in the amount of $120,000 from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for the Lextran 5-Year Comprehensive Operation Analysis/Long Range Transit System Analysis Project and to approve execution of subrecipient agreement with Lextran for project development.  Lextran will provide the required 20% local match of $30,000.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
      Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to accept a Grant from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, which Grant funds are in the amount of $120,000 Federal funds, are for the Lextran 5-year Comprehensive Operation Analysis /Long Range Transit System Analysis Project, and the acceptance of which obligates the Urban County Government for the expenditure of $30,000.00 as a local match (to be provided by Lextran).
      Section 2 - That subject to the provisions of Ordinance No. 22-79, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in his discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account appropriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant budget previously established for this Grant.
      Section 3 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute a Subrecipient Agreement with Lextran for project development and implementation.
      Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
