Summary
Authorization to accept award in the amount of $1,258,400.00 from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for Compressed Natural Gas fueling station on LFUCG-owned property located off of Old Frankfort Pike, land currently used for the Division of Waste Management’s headquarters and truck sheds, and the Division of Fleet Services’ maintenance garages. Required matching funds of 20% ($314,600.00) will come from the Division of Waste Management/Urban Services Funds FY2016. Total project cost is $1,573,000.00. Budget amendments are in the process. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to accept a grant from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, which Grant funds are in the amount of $1,258,400.00 Federal funds, are for the construction of a Compressed Natural Gas Fueling station, the acceptance of which obligates the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government for the expenditure of $314,600.00 as a local match.
Section 2 - That subject to the provisions of Ordinance No. 22-79, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in his discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account ap-propriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant Budget previously established for this Grant.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
