Summary
Authorization to revise an agreement between the LFUCG and Time Warner Cable to reduce service at Downtown Arts Center from 35x5 to 10x1. Monthly costs will be reduced by $190 for the internet line servicing staff. Usage at this time does not justify the amount of speed currently contracted. There will be a positive budgetary impact. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute an Amendment to the Downtown Arts Center Internet Service Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Time Warner Cable Business Class (TWC Enterprises LLC), to reduce the amount of High Speed Internet (HSD) Service from 35x5 to 10x1, and to reduce the cost of service from $199.95 to $109.99 per month, at the Downtown Arts Center.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
