This is a request to change street names and/or individual property address numbers within various Council Districts in order to eliminate problem addresses and insure proper operation of the Enhanced 9-1-1 system. There is no budgetary impact.

WHEREAS, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government has created a Geographic Information System ("GIS"); and
WHEREAS, the GIS street mapping and addressing project is the foundation for the Urban County Government's enhanced 911 Emergency Telephone Communication System (the "911 System"); and
WHEREAS, in order for the GIS and 911 Systems to function properly it is imperative that street names and property addresses conform to the standards established in Section 17-2 through 17-4 of the Code of Ordinances; and
WHEREAS, various street names and property addresses located in several Council Districts do not meet the Code requirements and changes should be made to conform to the Code and to accomplish the goals of the GIS and 911 System projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the street names of the following properties be and hereby are changed as follows:
(a) Chippen Dale Court: That the name of Chippen Dale Court located at 100 Chippen Dale Court (Unit A), 100 Chippen Dale Court (Unit B), and at 102, 104, 105, 106, 108, 109, and 111 Chippen Dale Court is changed to Chippendale Court.
(b) Chippen Dale Circle: That the name of Chippen Dale Circle located at 200, 204, 208, 212, 216, 220, 224, 228, 232, 236, 240, 244, 248, 251, 252, 256, 260, 264, 268, 272, 276, 280, 284, 288, 292, 296, 300, 301, 303, 304, 305, 307, 308, 309, 311, 312, 313, 315, 316, 317, and 319 Chippen Dale Circle is changed to Chippendale Circle.
(c) Bridlewood Lane: That the name of Bridlewood Lane located at 1056, 1057, 1060, 1061, 1064, 1065, 1068, 1069, 1072, 1073, 1076, 1080, 1084, 1088, 1089, 1093, 1096, and 1097 Bridlewood Lane is changed to Crestfield Lane.
Section 2 - That the property address numbers of the following properties be and hereby are changed as follows: The property address number of 312 South Upper Street is changed to 308 South Upper Street and the property address number of 318 South Upper Street is changed to 320 South Upper Street.
Section 3 - That the street names and property address numbers of the following properties be and hereby are changed as follows:
(a) Chippen Dale Court: That the name of Chippen Dale Court located at 101 Chippen Dale Court is changed to Chippendale Court and the following number change is made:
