Summary

Authorization to approve collaboration with Bluegrass Community Foundation and for Grant payments to be made by 250LEX Commission to non-profit organizations for Lexington’s 250th celebration and to execute Contractual Agreements between LFUCG, Bluegrass Community Foundation and each of the awarded non-profit organizations. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor or her designee, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute Grant  Agreements related to the celebration of Lexington’s 250th Anniversary (250Lex), awarding Grants recommended by and funded by the Mayor’s 250Lex Commission through the Bluegrass Community Foundation (BGCF) to the following recipients in the following amounts: M’Power Rhythm ($19,640.00), Allegro Dance Project ($15,000.00), Marafiki Center ($13,600.00), Casa De La Cultura ($20,000.00), A Sense of Place ($20,000.00), Central Kentucky Youth Orchestra ($17,500.00), Bluegrass Youth Ballet ($12,000.00), Carnegie Center ($20,000.00), KY Humanities ($20,000.00), Mary Todd Lincoln House ($15,410.00), Keeneland Library ($9,201.00), Christine Kuhn ($15,228.00), Greenroom Exchange ($20,000.00), Lexington Children’s Theatre ($16,825.00), Faulkner-Morgan Archive ($20,000.00), Black Yarn ($20,000.00), OperaLex ($20,000.00), and Lexington History Museum ($19,588.00), and that the Mayor is further authorized to execute any necessary Agreements or amendments related to 250Lex Grants.
