Title

Summary

Authorization to abolish one (1) classified position of Operations Manager (Grade 520E) and create one (1) classified position of Operations Manager (Grade 520N) in order to conform to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and transfer the incumbent from exempt to non-exempt status in the Division of Environmental Services, effective the first payroll Monday following passage of Council. While the base salary remains the same, there May be a potential fiscal impact due to the fact that this employee will become eligible for overtime pay. (L0136-22) (Maxwell/Hamilton)

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN

COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That subsection line number 390.029 in the Classified Civil Service authorized strength be and hereby is deleted.

                     Section 2 - That the following subsection line number in the Classified Civil Service authorized strength be and hereby is created to read as follows:

                                          390.029                     1                     686                     520N                                          Operations Manager

 

                     Section 3 - That the incumbent be and hereby is transferred from an exempt position to a non-exempt position as follows:

John Day, from Operations Manager, Grade 520E, at $2,118.64 biweekly, to Operations Manager, Grade 520N, at $26.483 hourly. 

                     Section 4 - That this Ordinance shall become effective first payroll following passage of Council.
