Summary
Authorization to establish Harp Enterprises Inc. as a sole vendor for the purpose of purchasing Hart InterCivic’s Hart Voting System (HVS) machines used in Fayette County elections. Harp Enterprises Inc. is the only authorized reseller in Kentucky. Machines will be purchased over the next two Budget years at a cost of $105,600 in FY 16 and FY17 $369,600. Funds are Budgeted. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Harp Enterprises, Inc., be and hereby is established as a sole source provider of voting machines and any related maintenance, equipment, supplies and services, for the Fayette County Clerk’s Office, and the Mayor or his designee, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute any necessary Agreements with Harp Enterprises, Inc., related to the procurement of these goods or services.
Section 2 - That a price contract with Harp Enterprises, Inc., be and hereby is established and authorized for Fiscal Years 2016 and 2017 with funds for payment from account #3220-112001-96468.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
