This is a request to submit application to the Kentucky Emergency Management Agency requesting federal and state funds in the amount of $47,154 under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program for Weather Radio project.  A local match of $7,046 (13%) is required and will be requested in the 2015 General Fund budget.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
      Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute and submit the Grant Application, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the Kentucky Emergency Management Agency and to provide any additional information requested in connection with this Grant Application, which Grant funds are in the amount of $40,650.00 Federal funds under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, and are for a Weather Radio project.
      Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
