Summary

Authorization to approve Change Order #1 to the LFUCG Contract with Bluegrass Contracting for construction services associated with the Rogers Road Stormwater project.  The purpose of this request is to compensate the Contractor for expenses related to the relocation of an existing sanitary manhole that was not shown on the plans and to extend the project completion date by seven (7) calendar days. The new project completion date is November 4, 2016. The Change Order request is $13,935.90 which is a 0.5% increase to the Contract amount. Funds are Budgeted. (L0728-16) (Martin/Hoskins-Squier)

                     BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute Change Order No. 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the Agreement with Bluegrass Contracting Corporation for the Rogers Road Stormwater Improvements Project, increasing the Contract price by the sum of $13,935.90 from $2,838,990.22 to $2,852,926.12 and extending the date of completion by seven (7) calendar days, to November 4, 2016.

                     Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $13,935.90, be and hereby is approved for payment to Bluegrass Contracting Corporation, from account # 4052 - 303204 - 92211 pursuant to the terms of the Change Order.

                     Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
