BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute a Notice of Intent to Participate, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) Planning Grant Program, which designates the Urban County Government as the local government, on behalf of six counties, in the Lexington-Fayette Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).

                     Section 2 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to accept this Grant of up to $1,000,000.00 in Federal funds, if awarded from the CPRG, for the development of a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Lexington-Fayette MSA, the acceptance of which does not obligate the Urban County Government to the expenditure of funds.

                     Section 3 -- That subject to the provisions of Section 7-48 of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Code of Ordinances, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in her discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account appropriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant Budget previously established for this Grant.

                     Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
