BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to accept a Grant from the United States Department of Homeland Security, which Grant funds are in the amount of $23,804.70 in Federal funds, under the 2021 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program - Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S), for the purchase and installation of smoke alarms for households in high-risk neighborhoods, the acceptance of which obligates the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government to the expenditure of $1,190.24 as a local match.
Section 2 - That subject to the provisions of Section 7-48 of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Code of Ordinances, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in her discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account appropriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant Budget previously established for this Grant.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
