Authorization to execute Amendment to an Agreement with Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, Inc. to increase the Emergency Solutions Grant CARES Act Budget to $443,520 for temporary summer cooling shelter and to extend period of performance to August 31, 2023. LFUCG Administration Grant Budget will be reduced by $200,000, Mountain Comprehensive Care Center Rapid Rehousing Budget will be reduced by $143,520 and New Beginnings Rapid Rehousing Budget will be reduced by $100,000, and authorizing the Mayor to execute any other Agreements or amendments with Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, Inc. related to the use of these funds. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute an Amendment to the Agreement, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison and Nicholas Counties, Inc., under the Emergency Solutions Grant Program, funded through the CARES Act, to increase the Budget by $443,520.00 for a temporary summer cooling shelter, and to extend the period of performance to August 31, 2023.
Section 2 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Urban County Government, is further authorized to execute any other necessary amendments related to the use of these Funds.
Section 3 - That an amount, not to exceed $443,520.00, be and hereby is authorized for payment to Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison and Nicholas Counties, Inc., from account number 3120-900307-71101, pursuant to the terms of the Amendment and contingent upon the approval of any necessary Budget amendments.
Section 4- That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
