This is a request to designate AK Associates as the sole source vendor for expansion and service of the current 9-1-1 system supporting the CKy911net, managed by LFUCG. The cost for FY 2014 is not to exceed $150,000 and will be offset by partnering agencies individual payments and E-911 Fund revenues. Funds are budgeted.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Division of Emergency Management/911 be and hereby is authorized to obtain equipment and services for the Central Kentucky 911 Network, as further described in the Sole Source Certification, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, on a multi-year basis, from AK Associates, Inc., a sole source provider.
Section 2 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to sign any necessary agreements or other documents related to obtaining this equipment and services.
Section 3 - That an estimated amount, not to exceed the sum of $150,000.00 in FY2014, be and hereby is approved for payment to AK Associates, Inc., from account #4204-505603-75101 ($1,430.00), account #4204-505603-76102 ($5,575.00), account #4204-505602-96201 ($81,790.00), account #4204-505602-96202 ($30,050.00), and account #4204-505602-71208 ($25,000.00), for the above equipment and services.
Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
