BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute two year Subrecipient Agreements, which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with each of the following respective organizations using federal grant funds awarded pursuant to the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA): Awesome U, LLC; Bluegrass Community and Technical College; Home Builders Association of Lexington, Inc.; Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, Inc.; FoodChain, Inc.; Jubilee Jobs of Lexington, Inc.; Lexington Rescue Mission, Inc.; and Opportunity Workshop of Lexington, Inc., for a total amount not to exceed $800,000.00 ($400,000.00 in FY 2023), to support workforce development in Lexington-Fayette County, and authorizing the Mayor to execute any other necessary agreements or amendments with the Organizations related to the use of these funds.
Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the total sum of $800,000.00 ($400,000.00 in FY 2023), be and hereby is authorized for payment to Awesome U, LLC ($100,000.00); Bluegrass Community and Technical College ($100,000.00); Home Builders Association of Lexington, Inc. ($100,000.00); Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, Inc. ($100,000.00); FoodChain, Inc. ($100,000.00); Jubilee Jobs of Lexington, Inc. ($100,000.00); Lexington Rescue Mission, Inc. ($100,000.00); and Opportunity Workshop of Lexington, Inc. ($100,000.00), all from account # 3230-136102-1362-78103, subject to the terms of the respective agreements.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
