BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute and submit a Grant Application, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection--Division of Waste Management, and to provide any additional information requested in connection with this Grant Application, and to accept this Grant if the application is approved, which Grant funds are in the amount of $102,000.00 in Commonwealth of Kentucky funds, for the support of a one-day household hazardous waste recycling event for Fayette County in FY 2023, the acceptance of which obligates the Urban County Government to the expenditure of $25,500.00 as a local match.

                     Section 2 -                      That subject to the provisions of Ordinance No. 97-21, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in her discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, and upon specific authorization by Ordinance or Resolution, May transfer the unencumbered balance of any account within the same Grant Budget so long as the scope and intent of the Grant is not significantly changed.

                     Section 3 -- That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
