BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to accept an award of $200,000.00 in Federal funds from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS), under the Law Enforcement Mental Health & Wellness Act Grant Program (LEMHWA) for FY 2026 through FY 2028, for the expansion of the Wellness Unit in the Division of Police, the acceptance of which does not obligate the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government to the expenditure of funds.
Section 2 - That subject to the provisions of Section 7-48 of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Code of Ordinances, the Mayor is hereby authorized, in her discretion as Chief Executive Officer of the Urban County Government, to transfer the unencumbered balance of any operating or capital account ap-propriation to another operating or capital account appropriation within the Grant Budget previously established for this Grant.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
