A Resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor, on behalf of the Urban County Government, to execute and submit a Grant Application to the United States Dept. of Transportation and to provide any additional information requested in connection with this Grant Application, which Grant Funds are in the amount of $16,000,000 Federal Funds, under the 2016 Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) competitive grant program and are for construction of sections of the Town Branch Commons Project. Summary

 

Authorization to submit application requesting federal funds in the amount of $16 million to the U. S. Department of Transportation under the 2016 Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) competitive grant program for construction of sections of Town Branch Commons Project.  $4 million in bond revenue will come from the bonds already approved by Council in Fiscal Year 2016 for the Town Branch Commons project.  Total cost will be $20 million.                      BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute and submit the Grant Application, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the United States Department of Transportation and to provide any additional information requested in connection with this Grant Application, which Grant funds are in the amount of $16,000,000.00 Federal funds, under the 2016 Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) competitive grant program and are for construction of sections of the Town Branch Commons Project.

                     Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
