BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute nine Community Project Agreements, awarded pursuant to RFP No. 37-2023 and paid for with Grant funds awarded under the Nonprofit Capital Grant Program--Facilities Improvements, with each of the following entities: Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning, Central Music Academy, FoodChain, Inc., Gleanings Housing, Inc., Lexington Housing for the Handicapped, Living Arts and Science Center, Mission Lexington, New Life Day Center, and Shepherd’s House.
Section 2 -- That amounts, not to exceed the following sums stated, be and hereby are approved for payment to each of the following entities, contingent upon the approval of any necessary Budget amendments, and pursuant and subject to the terms of the respective final Agreements:
(a) Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning ($40,000.00), from account #1101-900608-71101;
(b) Central Music Academy ($41,750.00), from account # 1101-900375-71101;
(c) FoodChain, Inc. ($55,000.00), from account # 1101-900361-71101;
(d) Gleanings Housing, Inc. ($34,954.00), from account # 1101-900330-71101;
(e) Lexington Housing for the Handicapped ($55,000.00), from account # 1101-900332-71101;
(f) Living Arts and Science Center ($16,500.00) from account # 1101-900342-71101;
(g) Mission Lexington ($11,885.00), from account # 1101-900340-71101;
(h) New Life Day Center ($47,861.00), from account # 1101-900343-71101; and
(i) Shepherd’s House ($45,280.00), from account # 1101-900224-71101;
Section 3 - That the Mayor or her designee is further authorized to execute any other necessary amendments, addenda or other documents with these entities related to these funds.
Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of passage.
