WHEREAS, the Council by Ordinance No. 57-90 enacted Section 18-114.1 of the Code of Ordinances establishing restrictions and prohibitions relating to the Residential Parking Permit Program, including penalties thereof, which section was subsequently amended by Ordinance No. 101-90; and
WHEREAS, the Council, by Resolution No. 168-90, adopted a procedure on Requests to Establish a Residential Parking Permit Program; which Procedure was subsequently amended by Resolutions No. 450-91 and 433-2006; and
WHEREAS, it is now the desire of the Council to establish a Residential Parking Permit Program for the 1200 block of Kastle Road and to waive the provisions relating to the mechanics of designating residential parking permit areas set forth in the Procedures adopted by Resolution No. 168-90 and amended by Resolutions Nos. 450-91 and 433-2006.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - A Residential Parking Permit Program be and hereby is established for the 1200 block of Kastle Road for the following addresses only: 1211 - 1231 on the West side and 1216 - 1240 on the East side, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, from September 1 through May 31.
Section 2 - That the provisions of Section III of the Procedure on Request to Establish a Residential Parking Permit Program, as adopted by Resolution No. 168-90 and amended by Resolution Nos. 450-91 and 433-2006, be and hereby are waived for the above mentioned residential parking permit area only.
Section 3 - That the Clerk of the Urban County Council be and hereby is directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the Council Administrator, Chief of Police, Director of the Division of Revenue, Director of the Division of Traffic Engineering and the Executive Director of the Parking Authority.
Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
