Summary
Authorization to execute the approval of the Constitutional Officer’s Performance Bond in the amount of $25,000 for Fayette County Constables and $10,000 for Fayette County Deputy Constables and reimburse their bond fees in the amount of $1,152.45. Moreover, the Division of Human Resources will record the bond with surety, along with a certified copy of the Resolution in the Office of the Fayette County Clerk, effective upon passage of Council. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That pursuant to Section 22-55.1 of the Code of Ordinances the bond with surety of Andrea Welker, First District Constable ($25,000.00); Jim Mckenzie, Second District Constable ($25,000.00); Edward Sparks, Third District Constable ($25,000.00); Derek Talbert, Deputy Constable ($10,000.00); Robert Berberich, Deputy Constable ($10,000.00); James Smith, Deputy Constable ($10,000.00); Matthew Hedges, Deputy Constable ($10,000.00); and Dean Roberts, Deputy Constable ($10,000.00), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and hereby is accepted and approved.
Section 2 - That the Division of Human Resources be and hereby is directed to record the bond with surety, along with a certified copy of this Resolution, in the office of the Fayette County Clerk.
Section 3 - That a collective amount, not to exceed the sum of $352.65, be and hereby is approved for payment to Andrea Welker and Jim McKenzie, from account # 1101-160901-0001-70251.
Section 4 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
