BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute and submit Two (2) Grant Applications, which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security (KOHS) and to provide any additional information requested in connection with these Grant Applications, which Grant funds are in the amount of $120,960.00 Federal funds under the 2017 State Homeland Security Grant Program, and are for the purchase of twenty (20) Dry Suits ($51,560.00) and a ThermoScientific FTX Chemical Identification Device ($69,400.00), for the Division of Fire and Emergency Services.
Section 2 - For the purpose of any KOHS funded projects using FY-2017 funds the city will use the provisions of KRS 45A for the purchase of equipment and/or services. For any equipment and/or services under $20,000 three (3) quotes will be obtained. For any equipment and/or services that exceeds $20,000 the provisions of KRS 45A will apply.
Section 3- That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
