Title

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the Urban County Government and the Urban County Government Public Facilities Corporation, to execute a Quitclaim Deed and any other documents necessary to transfer an unused parcel at the northeast corner of the property located at 2128 Nicholasville Rd. to SJP Properties, LLC. [Council Office, Maynard]

 

Body

WHEREAS, a small parcel of property at the northeast corner of the property located at 2128 Nicholasville Road (hereinafter, “the parcel”) was conveyed to the City of Lexington Municipal Improvement Corporation for a sanitary sewer pump station in 1961; and

                     WHEREAS, the parcel was not used for a pump station; and

                     WHEREAS, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Public Facilities Corporation is the successor-in-title to the City of Lexington Municipal Improvement Corporation with regard to ownership of the parcel; and

                     WHEREAS, the Urban County Government desires to authorize the transfer of the unused parcel by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Public Facilities Corporation to SJP Properties, LLC, the owner of the property located at 2128 Nicholasville Road.

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That  the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Public Facilities Corporation, be and hereby is authorized to execute a quitclaim deed and any other documents necessary to transfer an unused parcel at the northeast corner of the property located at 2128 Nicholasville Road to SJP Properties, LLC.

                     Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
