Summary

Authorization to execute a Memorandum of Agreement between Lexington Fayette Urban County Government and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) Program Management Office. A renewal MOA which is required every 5 years or when an administration change occurs in order to stay in compliance.  No Budgetary impact. (L0789-19) (Dugger/Armstrong)

                     BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Memorandum of Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, for use of the Public Alert and Warning Systems Management.

                     Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
