Summary
Approval of an Agreement between LFUCG and Clemson University. Clemson University has sought LFUCG as a preferred internship site for Therapeutic Recreation students. Students are required to complete a 14 week, 560 hour internship (fall, spring and summer options). This Agreement will supply needed interns to assist with growing programs for individuals with disabilities while teaching the student necessary skills for job placement in Therapeutic Recreation field. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute the Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Clemson University to serve as an internship site for therapeutic recreation students, at no cost to the Urban County Government.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
