Authorization to accept Thoroughbred Aviation, Bell Helicopter Service, as a sole source vendor. In order for the Lexington Police Department helicopter to operate safely, effectively and at the lowest possible cost, a sole source vendor must be established. Thoroughbred Aviation is located in Georgetown, KY and provides the Police Department service in a rapid manner within minutes of being called. There is no Budgetary impact. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Division of Police, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to accept Thoroughbred Aviation, Bell Helicopter Service, as a sole source provider, for service of the police helicopter.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
