A Resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor, on behalf of the Urban County Government, to appoint Patricia L. Dugger as the Local Emergency Management Director, pursuant to KRS 39B.020. [Div. of Emergency Management/911, Dugger]

Summary

Authorization for the appointment of Patricia L. Dugger as the local Emergency Management Director as to comply with KRS 39.B.020 which states in the local emergency management director -- Joint appointment of a single local emergency management director -- The county judge/executive of each county, the mayor of each city, consolidated local government, or urban-county government, or the chief executive of other local government, within thirty (30) days of assuming office following their election, shall appoint a local emergency management director who meets all qualifications criteria pursuant to KRS Chapters 39A to 39F, and shall immediately notify the director of the Division of Emergency Management of the appointment.                      BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to appoint Patricia L. Dugger as the Local Emergency Management Director, pursuant to KRS 39B.020.

                     Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
