Summary

Authorization to execute agreement with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Tactical Diversion Squad Task Force Agreement.  The term of this agreement shall be from October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019. The Tactical Diversion Squad Agreement allows for one (1) Lexington Police Department Officer to be assigned to the Tactical Diversion Squad for a period of not less than two years.  No budgetary impact. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Tactical Diversion Squad Task Force, for assignment of one officer to the Task Force.

                     Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
