A Resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor, on behalf of the Urban County Government, to execute a License Agreement with Metro Fibernet, LLC, d/b/a Metronet, for the installation and operation of telecommunications facilities, including four (4) fiber equipment huts and one (1) monopole, on property owned by the Urban-County Government, in return for government-related in-kind services from Metronet; and authorizing the Mayor, or his designee, on behalf of the Urban County Government, to execute any necessary documents related to the installation. Summary
Authorization to execute an Agreement to lease four pieces of city property to Metronet to locate four equipment huts and one monopole. In exchange, LFUCG will gain the use of rackspace in the equipment huts, the use of four dark fibers in the Metronet ring, and the option to install communications equipment on the monopole. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute a License Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Metro Fibernet, LLC, d/b/a Metronet, for the installation and operation of telecommunications facilities, including four (4) fiber equipment huts and one (1) monopole, on property owned by the Urban County Government, in return for government-related in-kind services from Metronet.
