WHEREAS, Section 4.11 of the Charter provides for a Citizens’ Advocate to be appointed by the Council from a list of candidates recommended by an ad hoc Citizens’ Committee appointed by the Council and consisting of a citizens’ representative from each of the twelve (12) Council Districts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That there is hereby established an ad hoc Citizens’ Committee to recommend a list of candidates for the position of Citizens’ Advocate.
Section 2 - That the following members are hereby appointed to said Citizens’ Committee from each of the respective Council Districts as indicated:
(1) 1st District Thomas Tolliver
(2) 2nd District Beth Workman
(3) 3rd District Joe Turley
(4) 4th District Martina Ockerman
(5) 5th District Marie Bradshaw
(6) 6th District Pat Tatum
(7) 7th District Chris Miller
(8) 8th District Richard Russell
(9) 9th District Mac Ferguson
(10) 10th District Martha Nall
(11) 11th District Paula Singer
(12) 12th District Ray Depa
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
