BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Section 3-21 (c)(2) of the Code of Ordinances of the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government be and hereby is amended to read as follows:
Retail package distilled spirits and wine. The selling, giving away, or delivering of packaged distilled spirits or wine shall not be permitted during the following hours:
(1) Between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday;
(2) Between the hours of 9:00 p.m. on a Sunday and 6:00 a.m. on a Monday;
except when Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve fall on a Sunday, then between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on that Sunday; and
(3) Between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any day from Tuesday through Saturday.
Section 2 - That this Ordinance shall become effective upon the date of its passage.
