Authorization to execute an Agreement with Telcordia Technologies Inc., d/b/a iconectiv, as a sole vendor under Contract with the Federal Communications Commission to manage telephone number (landline, wireless and VoIP) portability between carriers. E911 accesses the database to resolve issues when calls to 911 do not present location and/or carrier information as they should. The annual cost is $6,000. Funds are Budgeted. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Telcordia Technologies, Inc. d/b/a iconectiv, a sole source provider, for access to the Number Portability Administration Center, for the Division of Enhanced 911.
