Authorization to execute a Memorandum of Agreement with Kentucky River Watershed Watch to coordinate volunteers to provide water quality monitoring in the South Elkhorn Watershed in the fall of 2017 and the summer of 2018. The monitoring fulfills a component of LFUCG's Watershed-Focused Monitoring Program (WFMP) which is a requirement of the city's Kentucky Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (KDPES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized to execute the Memorandum of Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with Kentucky River Watershed Watch, to provide services relating to water quality monitoring in the South Elkhorn Watershed.
Section 2 - That an amount, not to exceed the sum of $5,000.00, be and hereby is approved for payment to Kentucky River Watershed Watch from account # 4052 - 303204 - 71223, pursuant to the terms of the Memorandum of Agreement.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
