WHEREAS, KRS 91.758 requires a management district to submit its annual Budget for the cost of providing economic improvements within the management district to the legislative body of the Urban County Government for its approval; and
WHEREAS, the Urban County Council is the legislative body of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, and it previously approved, through the adoption of Ordinance No. 52-2015, the creation of the Downtown Lexington Management District; and,
WHEREAS, the Downtown Lexington Management District has submitted its proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2018 for the cost of providing economic improvements within the district for consideration by the Urban County Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That the preamble to this Resolution is incorporated herein as if set out in full.
Section 2 - That the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget for the Downtown Lexington Management District, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference, be and hereby is approved for the purposes set forth in Ordinance No. 52-2015 and the proposed economic improvements Budgeted within the district.
Section 3 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
