Summary
E911 has an existing managed services Agreement with AK Associates, Inc. for service and support for Solacom and Execom systems, which this firm sold and installed in E911. AK Associates is the sole source provider for Solacom equipment in Kentucky (letter attached). E911 anticipates acquiring or upgrading additional hardware, software, parts, and licenses from AK Associates through the end of FY18. The prior sole source approval has expired and this request renews the sole source approval.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:
Section 1 - That Kraus Associates d/b/a AK Associates, be and hereby is established as a sole source provider of telephone technology and equipment manufactured by Solacom Technologies Inc., for the Division of E911 and authorizing the Mayor or his designee, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, to execute any necessary Agreements with Kraus Associates d/b/a AK Associates, related to the procurement of these goods and services.
Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
