A Resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor, on behalf of the Urban County Government, to execute an Agreement with the United States Dept. of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration, for the Tactical Diversion Task Force. [Div. of Police, Barnard]

Summary

 

Authorization to execute Agreement with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Tactical Diversion Task Force Agreement.  The term of this Agreement shall be from October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017. The Tactical Diversion Task Force Agreement allows for one (1) Lexington Division of Police Officer to be assigned to this task force for a period of not less than two years.  During this period of assignment, the officer will be under the direct supervision and control of a DEA Supervisory Special Agent assigned to the Task Force.  No Budgetary impact. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LEXINGTON-FAYETTE URBAN COUNTY GOVERNMENT:

                     Section 1 - That the Mayor, on behalf of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration, for the Tactical Diversion Task Force.

                     Section 2 - That this Resolution shall become effective on the date of its passage.
